Nondiscrimination Policy

Nondiscrimination Policy

Relief Home Health Services, Inc. is committed to providing equal access to our services and ensuring that all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, age, genetic information, or veteran status.

This Nondiscrimination Policy is in alignment with applicable federal and state laws, including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Massachusetts Public Accommodation Law.

Our Agency prohibits discrimination against any client, patient, employee, or applicant on the basis of any protected characteristic. We will not deny, cancel, limit, or refuse to provide any service or treatment to an individual on the basis of their inclusion in a protected class.

All personnel involved in the admissions, treatment, and provision of services are required to comply with this Nondiscrimination Policy. Our agency will take appropriate steps to ensure that persons with limited English proficiency (LEP) have meaningful access and an equal opportunity to participate in our services, programs, and activities. Interpretive and translation services will be provided as needed.

Additionally, we will make reasonable modifications to our policies, practices, and procedures when necessary to ensure equal access for individuals with disabilities, unless doing so would fundamentally alter the nature of the services provided. This includes providing auxiliary aids and services, such as assistive listening devices, large print materials, or qualified interpreters.

Any individual who believes they have been discriminated against is encouraged to file a complaint with the Compliance Officer/Section 1557 Coordinator by emailing complianceofficer@reliefhhs.com or by calling 508-827-7954 and asking to speak with the Compliance Officer.  All complaints will be promptly investigated, and appropriate remedial action will be taken. Retaliation against individuals who file complaints or participate in an investigation is strictly prohibited.

By adhering to this Nondiscrimination Policy, Relief Home Health aims to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all those we serve.
